Day 1 – Saturday: The Art of Collage

Inspiration: We begin with a curated PowerPoint presentation highlighting iconic collage artists throughout art history.

Demonstration: Watch a live demo showing how to create composite images using found materials and (optional) your own personal photos.

Hands-On Creation: After a short break, you'll begin your own collage, with step-by-step guidance and personal support throughout the process.

Lunch Break: 1:00–2:00 PM

Afternoon Session: Deepen your exploration, refine your ideas, and complete a finished collage artwork.

We’ll end the day with a short group reflection.

Day 2 – Sunday: Exploring Mixed Media

Inspiration: We kick off with a visual presentation of mixed media artists and techniques across time.

What to Expect
This two-day Collage/Mixed Media workshop focuses on teaching participants to discover their own artistic cosmos and personal artistic voice initiating them into collage and mixed media. Over the weekend, you'll learn essential collage and mixed media techniques while diving into your own creative process.
Enjoy 4 three hour sessions over weekend, aka a full immersion into developing your artistic voice through modern art techniques. Morning classes are blend of art history and live demonstrations, afternoon classes offer plenty of guided studio time. With only 12 participants everyone will be supported in their art-making process. You will make new discoveries and develop your skills—and walk away with two finished artworks that reflect your unique artistic perspective.

VAWAA
Annette also offers a 4 day intensive apprenticeship in collage and photomontage at VAWAA (Vacation With an Artist). This is available the whole year. You can stay at her place and work the whole day in her studio under her supervision. At the VAWAA you will receive 5 hours of techniques and tuition with slideshows, so it is more intensive. This is also private tuition so you can ask Annette exactly about what it is you want to learn. Annette will also take you on a trip to the sea and visit to a gourmet tavern for special Greek dishes!
